'Idol' Contestant's Sick Brother Flies Out to L.A. for Shows

"American Idol" finalist DAVID COOK's brother will be cheering him on in the audience this week, despite suffering from brain cancer, a source tells People magazine.

Although doctors first thought David's brother ADAM, 36, would be too sick to travel, several groups banded together to enable the young man to fly from Indiana to Los Angeles on a chartered medical flight.

Indianapolis-based Clarian Health will pay for the flight, as well as a medic and nurse to tend to Adam during his journey, according to Terre Haute, Indiana's Tribune Star. The newspaper also reports that a local radio station, B102.7, will pay for his hotel stay.
