Always up for a little charity work, Eva Longoria kicked off the Rally for Kids with Cancer Scavenger Cup in Miami Beach on Friday evening (October 16). Having flown into town the previous evening, the “Desperate Housewives” actress looked beautiful in blue as she spoke to attendees at the Eden Roc Renaissance Hotel about the PADRES Contra El Cáncer backed fundraising effort. Meanwhile, Eva recently visited Washington DC as art of Hispanic Heritage Month, where she urged Congress to “take on” the issue of illegal immigration. “I think there needs to be a sophisticated dialogue about what needs to happen with immigration but the main thing is it needs to be happen,” she told CNSNews. “And also, there needs to be education about the current system and how it’s not working and this has been on the national agenda for 10 years, so it’s time to take it on.”
